In Intern, Dr. Jauhar discusses life for a first year medical resident, which -- considering some of our past (Robert Marion) and future (Samuel Shem, Michael Collins) Season 2 guests -- has been a continuing theme on Radio Rounds this year. Dr. Jauhar had a particularly interesting path to medicine -- from earning a Ph.D. in experimental condensed-matter physics to a personal life event that inspired him to pursue medicine... to his current position as Director of the Heart Failure Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Jauhar also serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and he writes regularly about medicine and cardiology for the New England Journal of Medicine.
We hope you will be able to join us this Sunday (October 11) at 12 p.m. ET! Again, live streaming audio will be available here on the blog, and the free podcast of the episode will then be available on our iTunes page (as are all of our past shows) by the middle of next week.
